Sticks’n’Sushi to finally open Soho restaurant
The opening will be the chain’s seventh in central London, and its ninth in the UK overall.
Set over two floors, the Soho restaurant will have 170 covers and feature hanging partitions inspired by the Japanese Noren curtains.
Sticks'n'Sushi, which was named the UK’s fastest-growing restaurant group in this year’s AlixPartners Growth Company Index, opened its largest UK site to date last October on the Kings Road in Chelsea.
“Finding the ideal locations for Sticks’n’Sushi can take us some considerable time,” says group CEO Andreas Karlsson.
“We devote a great deal of energy to looking for the perfect sites, and we’ve now found the right spot in Soho.
“Although newly constructed, the building we’re going into has already achieved iconic status with its striking glazed brick façade featuring 100 different iridescent shades, and Damien Hirst has chosen this location for his flagship studio and art complex.
“It’s the location for us to host the local creative business community, young high-spending residents and destination diners.”
Sticks’n’Sushi was founded in Copenhagen by half-Danish, half-Japanese brothers Kens and Kim Rahbek, and currently operates 21 restaurants across Copenhagen, Berlin and London.
