Restaurants including Tom and Michaela Kitchen’s recently opened The Bonnie Badger in East Lothian, The Set in Brighton, Sardine Factory in Looe and Two Lights in London have been awarded Bib Gourmands in the Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland 2020.

In total, 22 new restaurants have been awarded a Bib Gourmand, bringing the total in the soon to be published 2020 guide to 132.

A Bib Gourmand is awarded to restaurants deemed to be both good quality and good value by Michelin’s team of inspectors, with those listed having a menu that serves three courses for £28 or under.

The number of restaurants being awarded a Bib Gourmand has dropped from last year, when Michelin awarded 27 new bibs in its 2019 guide. The total number of restaurants that now have a bib has also dropped, down from 143 the previous year.
