Munich Cricket Club has chosen Dockland’s West India Quay for its second London location.

Specialist leisure agency Shelley Sandzer acted on behalf of landlords Landsec and Schroders to put the Bavarian beer hall brand into the Port East building, a Grade I listed warehouse that is now a mixed-use leisure site.

Munich Cricket Club Canary Wharf will sit alongside brands including Pizza Pilgrims, Burger & Lobster, and Drake & Morgan. Its signing marks the letting completion of the scheme.

The Bavarian beer hall concept is part of Moonshine Bars, which also operates The Rose pub in Fulham and The Loose Box bar and kitchen in Westminster.

The first UK site launched in Victoria in 2016. Munich Cricket Club serves imported Munich beers alongside traditional Bavarian dishes including sausages and schnitzels.

It joins a number of broadly comparable UK-based German beer house venues including Bierschenke, Octoberfest Pub and Katzenjammers.
