A new all-day restaurant is set to take the space formerly occupied by Simon Parker Bowles’ Green’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar in St James’s, London.

Property management company The Crown Estate said this month that it has signed a brasserie under the name Maison François.

The venue will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea and dinner as well as feature a wine bar and wine room.

A spokesperson for The Crown Estate told Big Hospitality that more details around the team behind Maison François will be revealed early next year.

The brasserie will become part of mixed-use development The Marq, which occupies 46,000 sq ft on Duke Street.

Parker Bowles, former brother-in-law of Camilla, closed Green’s in 2016, after The Crown Estate announced redevelopment plans.

Oliver Smith, head of St James’s at The Crown Estate, said he is "delighted that we are welcoming a restaurant back to this location".

He added: “This is a crucial location, in the heart of St James’s and surrounded by a vibrant community of residents, businesses and galleries. Maison François is set to become a trusted destination for the St James’s neighbourhood and the broader West End.”
