He will start at the Michelin-starred restaurant in February next year replacing Matt Worswick, who has headed the stove for nearly four years.
Smith has been executive chef at Bohemia at The Club Hotel & Spa in Jersey since 2013. His CV includes time with Jean Christophe Novelli, Shaun Hill and Paul Heathcote.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining The Latymer, it’s a fantastic opportunity to further develop my cuisine and the restaurant in such a beautiful setting. My food will be flavour and texture driven using the best available seasonal produce,” says Smith on his appointment.
