Oklava Bakery + Wine, the new concept from Selin Kiazim and Laura Christie, will officially open its doors on January 21 following a run of soft launch dates.

On the site of the pair’s former Turkish pasta restaurant Kyseri in Fitzrovia, Oklava Bakery + Wine was funded via a crowdfunding campaign. Rewards for pledges include tote bags, a signed Oklava cookbook, lunch and dinner and a year’s supply of baked goods.

The restaurant will be open all day, serving lunch and dinner, and, for the first time, breakfast and Saturday brunch, alongside a vast array of baked goods, influenced by Kiazim’s Turkish heritage.

Baked goods will include a laminated pogaca morning bun; hellimli - a halloumi and olive oil muffin; a tahinli spiral; a pilavuna pastry, made with cheese, sultanas and mint; and a zeytinli, a muffin made with olive and olive oil.

Kiazim and Christie launched the original Oklava in Shoreditch in 2015 and opened Kyseri in June last year.
