Daniel Humm's involvement with London NoMad in doubt
Eater US reports that Humm’s Make It Nice hospitality group is ending its partnership with NoMad after eight years, having run restaurants in its hotels in New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
The pair were collaborating on London’s first NoMad hotel, which is due to open in the Bow Street Magistrates Court building in Covent Garden this summer.
BigHospitality understands discussions are still ongoing regarding Humm’s involvement, and no final decisions have been made.
However, Eater US reports Make It Nice is expected to leave the project.
This is the second high-profile business partnership Humm has exited in less than a year, after buying out Will Guidara - the other half of the Make It Nice restaurant dream team - last July.
Together the pair oversaw three-Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park in New York, which topped the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2017.
Humm opened his first London restaurant Davies and Brook at Claridge’s last year.
He is also set to open a fine dining restaurant at the high-rise 425 Park Avenue office building in New York, which is still under construction.
