Bundobust confirms it will open 150-cover restaurant and brewery in Manchester
Opening within the city’s Grade II-listed St James’ building on Oxford Street, it will be the fourth site within the Bundobust portfolio.
As first revealed by BigHospitality back in July last year, the 4,000sq ft space will hold 150 covers and be home to a large in-house brewery set under a glass-vaulted ceiling.
Featuring nine fermenting vessels, the Bundobust brewery will be able to produce up to 28,000 pints of beer per month.
“The Oxford Street site will offer the same food menu as every other Bundobust and will have a familiar vibe - but with the major addition of an on-site brewery,” says Marko Husak, who founded Bundobust with Mayur Patel in 2014.
“[It’s] an amazing space, and this build is our most exciting and ambitious Bundobust so far. We're incorporating a lot of original features from the building, but it'll be recognisably Bundo.
“We've sourced some unique materials made from recycled plastic bottles and reclaimed wood that fit in with the design and sustainability ethos shared across all Bundobust sites, but Manchester Oxford Street will have its own unique look and feel.”
Alongside its other Manchester location, Bundobust, which takes its name from an Anglo-Indian word that means binding or coming together, operates sites in Leeds and Liverpool.
