Speaking at MCA’s Food To Go Conference last week co-founder Zack Bishti said the company had “aggressive” growth plans for 2020 with a site lined up in one of London’s Westfield shopping centres.
Neat Burger is working with Deliveroo to set up separate delivery-only ‘dark kitchens’, the first of which will launch in Battersea this month.
The group will also open its first international restaurant in Los Angeles in Q2 of this year through a joint venture partnership.
“We have another high-profile celebrity ambassador joining for the US rollout who’s an environmentalist,” said Bishti.
The first Neat Burger restaurant opened just off London’s Regent Street in September, offering plant-based patties and hot dogs.
Bishti said the company’s goal over the next 18-24 months was to create its own Neat-branded products for the retail market.
