The new starred restaurants for the 2021 edition will be announced at London’s Camden Roundhouse on 19 October 2020, according to a tweet by the guide.
A separate event to reveal the Bib Gourmands, awarded to restaurants serving three courses for under £28, will be held for the first time on 18 October. It is not clear if the public will also be invited to this ceremony.
The @MichelinGuideUK account tweeted: “[Bib Gourmands] receive a higher profile every year – and rightly so. More information will be available later in the year.”
Michelin has ramped up its star announcements in recent years and held the first live event for the Great Britain and Ireland guide in 2017.
Previous revelations have been more low-key, in 2015 Michelin was forced to tweet the new starred restaurants out after the list was apparently leaked by a bookshop ahead of its official release.
