The team behind Hertfordshire-based fine dining restaurant Crockers Tring are to open a multifaceted restaurant with rooms later in the spring in Henley, Oxfordshire.

Crockers Henley will feature two individual chef’s tables; a grill restaurant and bar; and several bedrooms.

Each chef’s table ‘will present its own relaxed fine-dining offering’, with seven-course lunch and 12-course dinner options available at both.

The Thames Table, overseen by former Lucknam Park head chef Dean Westcar, will serve a seasonal, modern-British tasting menu; while The Gardener Table, ran by chef Iain Dixon – who previously cooked at the Michelin-starred Nut Tree in Oxfordshire – will feature a ‘pan-Asian tasting experience’.

Meanwhile The Grill, led by head chef Tom Westerland (also formerly of Lucknam Park), will serve an all-day menu featuring a range of steaks, fish, and shellfish roasted over a custom-built charcoal grill.

“We’re incredibly excited about our new home in Henley-on-Thames,” says Crockers chief executive Luke Garnsworthy, who was previously chef de partie at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.

“We couldn’t wish for a more beautiful location in such a wonderful town. The senior team we have put in place is truly a dream come true, and I can’t wait to open our doors to the people of Henley.”

Crockers Tring was opened by Garnsworthy in 2018.
