Mike Jennings has been named executive head chef at D&D London’s 20 Stories restaurant in Manchester.

Brian Hughson, who joined 20 Stories in 2019​ following the departure of Aiden Byrne,​ is remaining as head chef.

Jennings started his career at The Green Dragon in Lymm before joining Bohemia in Saint-Helier, where he was part of the team that achieved a Michelin star.

He has cooked with Nigel Haworth and Gary Rhodes and was more recently head chef at Manchester’s well-regarded Grenache and WOOD restaurants.

At 20 Stories he will introduce dishes including grilled mackerel and beetroot salad; and whole Dover sole with brown shrimp butter and burnt lemon.

A separate barbecue menu will be offered on the terrace during the summer.

20 Stories opened in the No1 Spinningfields development in early 2018.

It was originally headed up by chef director Aiden Byrne who stepped down after 11 months​ to relaunch Manchester House as Restaurant MCR, which has since closed.
