The group, which runs a number of gastropubs – predominantly across East Anglia – will also next week launch a #hermathome offer where it will make some of its classic Hermitage Road signature dishes available for its customers to cook in their own homes.
The coffee shop at Hermitage Road, which is based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, will open at 12pm today before operating 8am to 3pm Wednesdays to Sundays. To mark the opening, the pub company is running a one-day only Wednesday pop up takeaway service serving buttermilk chicken burgers. It will also have a Mojito bar.
“It has been a long time and we have missed you! Expect the warmest of welcomes from Magda and crew, great coffee, pastries, plus a few surprises we will share later,” says the company on its website.
Anglian Country Inns has already reopened a number of its pubs for takeaway, including The Cricketers at Weston, which is serving pork belly ribs and pizzas, and The Jolly Sailors in Brancaster, which is serving a selection of pizzas alongside dishes including prawn toast and brie wedges with cranberry sauce.
