Elite Bistros to launch nationwide delivery service

In an Instagram video​ ​posted earlier today (1 June), Usher says: "It's taken some time, but we're finally going to be doing some food that you can cook at home. 

"We'll be taking all the hassle out of cooking at home. We've seen a few other restaurants and chefs doing it, and it seems like a great idea."

Usher adds that Elite Bistro at Home won't be a takeaway service, but will feature a selection of meal kits that will be available for delivery nationwide.

Each kit will come with all the different elements of the meal freshly prepared and packaged in individual, sealed bags; and delivered with recipe instructions from Usher and his team.

While the full menu is yet to be announced, Usher has confirmed that the braised featherblade of beef dish, which is a mainstay of the menu at each of his Elite Bistro restaurants, will feature. 

"The idea is you just drop it into a pan of water at home and I'll show you how long for and then what to do next," says Usher.

"But it will be a case of snipping it out, doing a couple of bits, and hopefully recreating the Elite Bistros experience at home."
