Sprout CRM’s free track and trace app has received a great response, with thousands of check-ins reported already.

During these challenging and uncertain times, the free-to-use platform has helped countless venues on their much-anticipated re-opening weekends.

"We've had an overwhelming response with operators using the app to ensure a seamless customer journey," says Dhilon Solanki, UK and EMEA director for Sprout CRM. "It's great to know that we have been able to help the industry."

For rapid contact tracing, the free check-in app allows venues to track their customers details, in accordance with GDPR legislation, using a scannable QR Code system.

Numerous hospitality brands and operators, ranging from restaurants to hotels, pubs, theme parks and other leisure venues have signed up to the free system.

Crucially, the free initiative has allowed for hospitality operators to re-open with confidence and security.

"Using Sprout’s check in solution allowed us to roll out a simple and transparent check in tool for guests visiting our sites," explains Iwona Dobek , head of systems at Various Eateries, the parent company of Coppa Club and Strada.

"We were able to easily customize it to match our brand and follow government guidelines at the same time. Setup was quick, fully supported by their team and results reassuring for those worried about their personal data."

"It's great to see a business provide a free tool for operators to support our industry during these challenging times".

The Check In app uses the same system in use across the company’s Australian customer base and is now being made available to all hospitality venues in the UK to support their reopening requirements.

Customers check-in at the venue easily by scanning a QR code on entry or once they have been seated, with no requirement for them to download an app. Using secure GDPR Compliant infrastructure, the venue captures and securely stores the data with the date and time of check-in.

It can then access and export the data at any time with a search / filter for any given date in response to track and trace associated with potential outbreaks.

The initiative is based on current guidelines and can be changed easily based upon new regulations and requirements as they emerge.

All data collected by the Check In App is stored and deleted as per Government guidelines. Data is only accessible by the Check In App account holder.

The free app is suitable for all operators in the hospitality industry, with both single or multi-sites.

Venues can still sign up here.
