London-based, pan-Asian concept Tootoomoo has signed a franchise agreement with Costa Coffee and Pizza Hut operator Soar Group.

The first restaurant opening under the partnership will take place in north-west London later this year.

Tootoomoo currently operates four bricks and mortar sites across the capital in Highgate, Islington, Crouch End and Whetstone.

While the brand focuses primarily on delivery and takeaway, three of the four sites also offer dine in.

Alongside the core Tootoomoo concept, the business also has an expanding range of delivery-only 'virtual brands' that operate alongside each other out of dark kitchen sites under the group's Tiny Cloud Kitchens subsidiary.

In addition to the standard Tootoomoo restaurant format, Soar says it we will be partnering with Tiny Cloud Kitchens to grow the dark kitchen model within the London area.

“We are looking to grow in many ways as a business, and franchising is a big part of that," says Tootoomoo founder Philip McGuinness, who launched the group's first site in Crouch End back in 2012.

"I am pleased to partner with Soar Group as they have the relevant food and franchise experience and they know their local market very well having operated there for many years.

"It is a great endorsement for our brand, which has been trading very strongly in the last few months."

Soar Group is the F&B vehicle of the Chagani family, who have been operating various restaurant businesses as well as multi-unit Costa Coffee and Pizza Hut franchises in North and West London for years.

“We’re very excited to begin our partnership with Tootoomoo," says Omar Chagani of Soar Group.

"Their trading performance over the last few months shows just how robust their model is.

"We look forward to opening our first restaurant later this year as part of a wider development agreement."
