Vision Venues, a new company from festival and event operator Field Vision Bars, has acquired The Island Grocer in London's Poplar; the first of three new bricks and mortar bars.

Led by Tom Curtis-Powley, the new company is focussing on developing a bar and restaurant estate in London and the home counties.

A fund raise seeking investment for its next round of growth is currently underway.

Curtis-Powley said: “We are looking to taking this bar and restaurant in a new direction with a refurbishment planned for January 2021, this will be the first of three London sites to open.

“We are also currently in the process of a fund raise seeking investment for our next round of growth.”

Thomas Cormie of Fleurets, who acted on the deal, added: “Field Vision have an agile and resilient business model which means they are perfectly placed to continue their growth strategy, despite the current climate, and are well capitalised to do so.”

Field Vision Bars work with festivals such as Kendall Calling and Field Day, as well as large venues like Printworks.
