UK’s ‘biggest beer hall’ to open at Truman’s brewery
On Blackhorse Lane, Truman’s Social Club opens on 29 October and will have a capacity of 700, which its creators believe makes it the largest permanent beer hall in the UK.
There will be a choice of up to 20 beers from Truman’s and guest breweries, as well as a rotating line-up of East London food traders, including Zero Sushi and Last Night A Vegan Saved My Life.
A weekly community led programme of events will be running and its spaces will be available to hire for locals to ‘bring their next big ideas to life’.
Truman’s Social Club will be open all day, seven days a week. Most of the tables will be bookable but some will be reserved for walk-ins.
The space has been specially designed for social distancing, with additional measures such as maximising ventilation and minimising customer touch points.
The events space will be used for exhibitions, markets, pop-up shops, product launches, live music and film nights.
