MEATliquor is to open a restaurant in The Brunswick Centre in London’s Bloomsbury just weeks after closing its King Cross venue.

The new restaurant is due to open in two weeks’ time - while the lockdown for England is still in place - where it will serve a takeaway menu in preparation of opening a full dine-in experience when the restrictions are lifted in December.

It will be located in the former Las Iguanas site and have 110 Covid-safe covers inside as well as more seating outside on a covered, heated terrace.

The Brunswick Centre, which is a grade II listed residential and shopping centre, is home to restaurant brands including Nostino, Slim Chickens, Leon and Nando’s as well as Japanese souffle pancakes concept Fuwa Fuwa.

Last week the casual dining group announced the closure of its restaurant in King’s Cross just as England entered its second country-wide lockdown.

In addition to its offering takeaway and delivery through Uber Eats, the company has also just launched cocktail and meal kits at home.

Available via meal box delivery company Great Food 2 U, options include beef chilli cheese dogs and vegan chilli cheese dogs; as well as cocktails such as its New Cross Negroni, Margaret Street Punch, and Space Gin Smash.
