Malmaison to open 150-bedroom hotel in York this spring

Hotel group Malmaison is set to open a new venue in the city of York this spring.

The 150-bedroom hotel will open in the former Aviva insurance building on the corner of Rougier Street in the city and will be the first within the hotel group to have a separate SkyBar in addition to a Chez Mal Brasserie & Bar.

The SkyBar will be located on the hotel’s roof top terrace with views over the city and will serve a menu of pan-Asian sharing plates alongside cocktails.

The hotel will also have an event space for up to 180 and multiple Work+Play meeting rooms, a spa, a fully equipped gym and an on-site Starbucks. 

Malmaison York will be the 17th​ venue in Malmaison’s portfolio of boutique venues, joining sites in cities including London, Newcastle, Manchester, Oxford, Leeds, Glasgow, Cheltenham, Aberdeen and Brighton.
