Brad Stevens has chosen Liverpool ONE for his second Mamasan restaurant following the success of South East Asian bar and brasserie concept’s Glasgow debut.

Stevens - who founded now five-strong bar and Asian street food concept Bar Soba and currently operates the three-strong Pizza Punks - launched Mamasan in Glasgow (pictured) last year.

The brand offers punchy South East Asian inspired cuisine and cocktails with a menu that includes the likes of crab katsu and sweet and sour Iberico pork.

Due to be unveiled when lockdown eases, the new bar restaurant will seat 200 and will also take advantage of the site’s mezzanine floor and panoramic roof terrace to combine outdoor and indoor dining and bar capabilities.

“The gap in the market for this kind of experiential dining in Liverpool, combined with the discovery of this attractive and versatile space at Liverpool ONE, made this an opportunity too good to pass up,” says Stevens.

“It’s been great to have landlord Grosvenor’s support in adapting and preparing Mamasan’s concept for Liverpool ONE, and we can’t wait to open and deliver the best in elevated South East Asian inspired dining.”

Grosvenor says the signing of Mamasan’s debut site in the city coincides with Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Zizzi both re-committing to Liverpool ONE following administration periods.
