A new food hall in Liverpool that’s set to open at Metquarter this Spring is on the hunt for three independent food and beverage operators to sign as tenants.

Claiming to be the 'largest food hall to open in Liverpool', GPO (which stands for 'General Post Office' - a nod to the former use of the building as Liverpool’s head Post Office) positions itself as a platform to 'showcase the best up-and-coming food and drink talent in the city'.

Local operators to have already secured units include Bullion Craft Bean Café; Restaurant Konjo; Jail Bird Nashville Fired Chicken; Patty B’s Burgers; Thai 25; Dirty Herb Vegan Kitchen; and Bubble Tea.

“If you think your brand is a good fit, we want to hear from you," says Matt Bigland, founder and director at The Milestone Group, which owns GPO.

"GPO will champion independent regional operators above all else, we’re urging people to get in touch and pitch to us."

The opening of GPO will complete the remixing of Metquarter and will complement the varied offer bringing new life and activity to the remainder of the building and surrounding area.

"It’s a really exciting time for Metquarter," adds Jennina O’Neill, centre manager at Metquarter.

"GPO will inject even more life and soul into the building, and it completes the remixing of the centre. We truly offer something for everyone and we’re looking forward to the opening later this spring.”

The opening of GPO is expected to create 132 jobs in Liverpool.

It will be located on the Victoria Street entrance at Metquarter adjoining Everyman. - See more at: https://www.caterlyst.com/caterlyst3/insight/Sector.aspx?t=10&n=30914#sthash.qCdjeNPx.dpuf
