Scotland-based Neapolitan pizza restaurant brand Mozza is making its England debut this spring.

The six-strong restaurant group will open a restaurant in Leeds’ White Rose shopping centre in May, situated in the mall’s upper level within its food and drink quarter.

Mozza made its debut in Glasgow 2017, and now operates three restaurants in the Scottish city. It has also expanded to locations in Aberdeen, Dundee and St Andrews.

Restaurants serve a selection of 13 different pizzas cooked in wood-fired ovens with prices starting at £5. Restaurants also have a mozzarella bar and serve a wide-range of topped focaccia and Italian desserts.

“It's extremely exciting to be opening up our first site in England, highlighting the strength of Mozza as a brand,” says owner Giuseppe Marini. “We’re thrilled to open our doors and welcome locals and visitors alike.”

The company says it plans for further expansion in England and the rest of the UK following the opening of its Leeds restaurant.

“Mozza is a fantastic brand with a great reputation in Scotland, and we are delighted the team has selected White Rose for its first restaurant in England,” says Adam Sawyer, portfolio manager at Landsec.

“Its arrival is testament to White Rose’s popularity in the region among operators and consumers.”
