Chef and restaurateur Richard Turner is launching meat-focused food delivery brand Dickie’s.

Turner, who is behind London butcher Turner & George and Meatopia and is also involved with meat-focused restaurants Hawksmoor, Pitt Cue Co and Blacklock, has created a menu of dishes that will initially be delivered to customers based in the Battersea South London before extending is reach.

Launching on 1 April, menu items will include a kimcheeseburger; steak sando; grilled pork bellyrRibs with apple; dripping chips ‘Poutine’; and rhubarb Eton mess. A selection of canned wine and cocktails will also be available.

Dickie’s will support good farming with Turner partnering with small UK producers and only using sustainable packaging. It will source free range and ethically reared meat and poultry via Turner & George and all of its vegetables from New Covent Garden Market.

“Dickie’s is me on a plate. My desert island dishes. My last request must-haves,” says Turner.

“I care about every aspect of this business. We’ve thought about each item of packaging so it can be as biodegradable as possible. And we’re in the business of keeping our staff happy too. Our culture centres around human welfare as well as that of the animals we use and the environment we seek to support. We aim to keep our relationships as healthy as the food is indulgent.”
