Online Mediterranean dips and salads shop Keff is making the move to bricks and mortar mid next month with a site at Camden Market’s North Yard.

Loosely translated from the Arabic word ‘kef’, meaning fun, joy and pleasure, the new site will offer hot and cold takeaway menu of vegetarian items including pita toasties alongside salads and dips to take away.

Toasties will have fillings such as feta, kaschkval and a homemade vegan cheese paired with ingredients such as black olives tapenade, matbucha, tomato in olive oil and salads.  All come with a choice of garlic sauce, tomato sauce with garlic or harissa mayo.

Dips, meanwhile, will include hummus; aubergine and tomato; baba ghanoush; tahini, masabacha; labneh; and cashew and courgette.

Co-founder Yoram Janowski created Keff during lockdown together with business partner and childhood friend Adi Frost. The Camden venue will have outdoor seating for eight people and will open for al fresco service on 12 April.

“Opening our first shop is a very proud moment for us indeed,” says Janowski.

“A year ago, Keff was literally a dream come true and together with Adi we managed to get here with hard work, determination, and some very lovely and loyal customers who love our food.  Our offering feels different, and fresh, and fits nicely into the narrative of fresh, wholesome takeaway food. We’re so excited to be part of London’s grand ‘re-opening’ too.”
