The deal, which was agreed in June 2020, marks Just Eat Takeaway.com’s entry into online food delivery in the US and means that the company now operates in the US, the UK, the Netherlands and Germany, what it describes as the “four of the world’s most attractive markets in online food delivery”.
The move will create the biggest food delivery service outside of China.

The deal will increase the enlarged group’s ability to deploy capital and resources to strengthen its competitive positions in all markets, according to the company.
