Set to launch in September, Kasa and Kin combines an all-day restaurant & bar, a bakery and patisserie, with each element ‘bursting with irresistible southeast Asian flavours’.
Kasa means home and Kin means family in Filipino, with the venue hoping to capture the essence of both.
The menu is being overseen by chef and consultant Pat McDonald (The Savoy, Liberty of London) and Romulo executive chef Jeremy Villanueva and will see the pair add a contemporary twist to Filipino family recipes.
Dishes include pandesal donut filled with purple yam and coconut; ensaymada (a soft and sweet pastry dough with butter and grated cheese); Filipino BBQ sticks; a selection of salads and sandwiches.
Designed by CADA design, Kasa and Kin will seat 70 covers inside and 20 covers outside and is described as ‘a joyous explosion of colours and textures’.
