Occupying the former Byron site, the restaurant will debut in August with a week-long soft launch period and then open properly to the public.
Founded by chef Chau Tran, Delicious Pho serves a menu of Vietnamese street food dishes, alongside a range of desserts and bubble teas.
Delicious Pho’s Spitalfields restaurant will offer more than 10 variations of the eponymous noddle soup dish, using local ingredients sourced daily from Spitalfields Market.
Other additions to the menu are yet to be confirmed, but in Canada include a range of traditional appetizers, as well as ‘speciality items’ including spicey Hue-style soup; and beef stew with pho rice noodles.
Chau has already gained a reputation for Delicious Pho in Canada, where she emigrated to in 1992 and worked as a chef in numerous Vietnamese restaurants before embarking on her own solo venture.
She opened her first restaurant in Canada in 2003, a 120-cover site, and now oversees a 12-strong estate across the country.
Tran is said to be ‘striving for the same track record when she opens her first UK branch this August’.
