Chris Denney to return to Notting Hill with Fiend

With a CV that includes time with John Campbell, Eric Chavot and Aaron Paterson in the UK and the three-star Piazza Duomo in Italy, Denny attracted rave reviews for his cooking at 108 Garage, which closed unexpectedly in 2019.
Billed as a multi-faceted restaurant and bar, the Portobello Road will see Denny ‘flex his culinary muscle and taking up the mantle as the next great disruptive force in British food’.
Set to open on 23 July, the venue will offer an a la carte menu alongside a six course set menu. Plates include bulgogi sweet bread with kefir cabbage and green onion; and wagyu short rib with smoked tomato and Colston Bassett stilton.
The ‘high-spirited dining destination’ will be set over two floors and feature an open kitchen. The ground level will feature tan leather banquettes and a bespoke rosewood bar; while the downstairs bar with have low slung tables and low lighting.
Cocktails include Corsica (Tanqueray No. 10, Lillet Blanc, Pampelle with a grapefruit twist); Garibaldi (Campari, orange, lime, passion fruit and mandarin soda); and Monte Carlo (Knobs Creek , Benedictine and angostura bitters).
