Upcoming Covent Garden venue 3 Henrietta Street will be home to no less than three restaurants each run by a different chef as well as a flagship site for roastery and coffee house The Gentlemen Baristas.

This September will see Mark Greenaway, Luis Pous and Kimberly Lin each launch their own restaurants within the five-storey converted townhouse.

On the first floor of the building with views over the piazza will be Pivot, a modern British tasting menu-only restaurant from Greenaway with a focus on ‘following the seasons and using the very best produce available’.

Greenaway is one of Scotland’s best known chefs. He made his name at Restaurant Mark Greenaway in Edinburgh (now closed) and recently launched a large restaurant at Edinburgh’s Waldorf Astoria.

A London fine dining restaurant for Greenaway was mooted earlier this year as the chef launched a pie and mash shop near Charing Cross.

“Opening a restaurant in the heart of London is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and 3 Henrietta Street feels like the perfect home for Pivot,” says Greenaway. “The menu will be an expression of the seasons, and we will only be using the best of what is available at any time – hence why the menu ‘pivots’ every month.”

Taking up residence in the basement of the building will be El Ta’Koy, the first UK opening from Cuban chef Luis Pous, who runs a restaurant in Miami as well as a pop-up in New York.

El Ta’Koy takes inspiration from the Tiki bars of Hawaii with an eclectic menu of dishes from Asia to Latin America, ‘reflecting Hawaii’s reputation as a melting pot of food and culture’.

The ‘high energy’ restaurant will seat 30 guests, with a terrace space for a further 44 diners seated in the piazza across the street.

Heading back to the ground floor, and housed within the terracotta-hued conservatory space, will be Lilly’s,  ‘a forward-thinking cafe headed up by world-class pastry chef Kimberly Lin’, who has been head pastry chef at The Corinthia and Claridges and was most recently employed as a development chef for US-based pastry chef

Named after the 17th century astrologer William Lilly, Lilly’s will ‘seamlessly blend wellness and fun’ with the menu and interiors taking inspiration from the attributes of the elements, gems and signs of the zodiac.

Open all-day, the cafe will showcase a range of Kimberly’s clever takes on traditional cakes and pastries as well as an all-day brunch menu with dishes containing mood-boosting, natural and seasonal ingredients.

Joining Lilly’s on the ground floor will be The Gentlemen Baristas, which will be split into two rooms across the ground floor of the building. Alongside its signature coffee there will be a selection of British breakfast and lunch dishes, pastries and snacks.

“3 Henrietta Street is more than just a townhouse, it’s a collective, a hub for the local community, and a place to enjoy and celebrate food, drink and the hospitality industry, especially after what has been a challenging time for all," says the project's founder Simon Wright.

"We have brought together some of the most talented individuals to create a destination like no other; whether you are a visitor to the area, a local, or looking for a quiet place to work – there really will be something for everybody."
