Taco brand DF Tacos and poke brand Poké the Bear are among new traders to open in Market Halls when the food hall company recommences trading later this month.

Opening in the Victoria Market Halls will be the fourth venue in the capital for the Wahaca-owned taco brand, joining its sites in Brixton, Tottenham Court Road and Shoreditch.

DF Tacos serves an extensive range of tacos including grilled chicken, pork pibil, steak and cheese, fish, buttermilk chicken, cauliflower cheese, and ancho mushrooms as well as a range of buns – its twist on the Mexican torta – in chilli beef, pork, buttermilk chicken, and mushroom options.

Poké the Bear will open in all three Market Halls venues, marking the delivery-only brand’s first physical location. The brand, which was founded by TV personality Calum Best and hospitality mogul Fraser Carruthers, currently operates from dark kitchens and delivers to west London via Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

The first Poké the Bear will open in Victoria on 29 July with locations in the Fulham and the West End Market Halls to follow.

DF Tacos will open in the Victoria Market Halls on 2 September.

Market Halls Victoria will be the first of the company’s three venues to reopen since lockdown. The venue has currently opened its rooftop bar but will reopen for indoor food and drink trading next week.
