Bavarian style restaurant and bar Albert’s Schloss is to open a venue in Birmingham’s Paradise development this autumn.

The new venue will be brand owner Mission Mars’s first Schloss outside of the north west of England and will become the fourth new leisure venue to commit to Paradise after Vinoteca, Dishoom and Rosa’s Thai.

The new 10,000sq ft ‘cook haus and bier palace’ will overlook Centenary Way and Centenary Square and will be open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks seven days a week.

“Albert’s Schloss (or palace) in Birmingham will celebrate the beloved Prince’s values every day and all night long. We’re creating a retreat from the modern world where we invite guests to discover new things, celebrate one another and revel in the wünder of our magnificent Schloss,” says Roy Ellis, Mission Mars CEO.

“Influenced by our travels across Bavaria, Bohemia and Alpine European retreats, expect roaring fires, raucous musical performances, tankards of Europe’s finest biers and robust Bavarian food in our wonderful Paradise surroundings. Prost!”

The first  Albert’s Schloss opened in Manchester and became a smash hit for its Munich beer hall approach, extensive range of beer, with numerous Munich and Bohemian pilsners, weiss biers and limited-edition Oktoberfest special editions on tap, and hearty alpine-inspired food.

Mission Mars followed it up with the launch of Albert’s Schenke in Liverpool in 2019.

“This is another new leisure brand and new concept for Birmingham we’re thrilled to be welcoming to Paradise. It will offer a whole experience around eating, drinking, music and more to its customers and be an exciting new venue for the centre of Birmingham,” says Rob Groves, regional development director with MEPC, the developer-manager of Paradise.

Mission Mars is also behind the popular Rudy's Pizza brand, which has just opened its debut London restaurant in Soho.
