Food writer and restaurateur Bill Sewell is doubling up with the opening of a second Bill’s Kitchen.

The restaurant will open this month in Ludlow at the newly-refurbished Ludlow Assembly Rooms. It will join Sewell’s first Bill’s Kitchen in Hereford, which is located in All Saints church in the centre of the town.

Bill’s Kitchen Ludlow will open Tuesday to Sunday serving breakfast through to early evening food and wine, as well as all day coffee and cakes.

Breakfast items will include bacon and sausages from the Tudge family at Richards Castle while lunch options will range from beef and ale pie, quiches, through rabbit with roast peppers and ‘nduja to lentil, leek and White Fox cheese bake with courgettes in tomato and basil sauce.

Early evening service will feature small plates with cheeses from the Mousetrap cheese shop and locally produced cured meats together with wines from Bentleys wine merchants. As at All Saints in Hereford everything will be made on site including the artisan breads for sandwiches and the cakes to go with the locally roasted Hundred House coffee.

“I’m so excited to be bringing Bill’s Kitchen to Ludlow,” says Sewell. “There’s a lot of energy around the whole Assembly Rooms project and we’re delighted to be a part of it.”
