NoshyCircle has acquired rival home-cooked food delivery platform GRUBie.

GRUBie launched during the pandemic targeting chefs that were unable to work looking for an alternative source of income, but anyone is able to sign up to offer home-cooked meals to members of the public.

NoshyCircle was also founded in the pandemic and has a broadly similar model. It is currently live in locations including Harrow, Watford, Wembley and Aylesbury.

The platform works in a comparable way to the likes of  Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats in that cooks simply need to sign-up, create a menu and start selling online.

Vendors have a lot of flexibility in terms of what is offered. They can opt to sell food cold for reheating or ready to eat and can opt to have people come and collect food or deliver it themselves or through a third party.

NoshyCircle says its mission is to empower women from all walks of life by supporting their love for the art of cooking.

“This takeover will further help to scale up rapidly and will allow NoshyCircle to penetrate into new markets like Birmingham, Manchester, East and West Midlands. Ultimately, we will now be able to offer an array of home-cooked meals with an increased scope to better deliver our wide range of customers,” says NoshyCircle founder and CEO Subha Ganesh.
