London-based hospitality group Open House is to launch a huge, multifaceted space at the former BBC television headquarters in White City next month.

Suitably named The Broadcaster, the site will span four floors and feature separate pub, restaurant and rooftop bar areas.

It will be the third opening for the Open House group, which also operates The Lighterman in Coal Drops Yard and Percy & Founders on Pearson Square.

The Broadcaster will place its focus on sourcing sustainable and local British produce, with a drinks list curated to include British craft beers and up and coming spirits brands.

Contemporary British pub food will be served in the ground floor pub and terrace, whilst the first floor will serve a separate dining room menu.

A quick, on-the-go kitchen will launch in the spring of next year on the rooftop, which will serve bar snacks and barbecue food.

“We’re thrilled to finally be opening the doors of The Broadcaster this September," says Ankur Wishart, co-founder and managing director of Open House.

"The project has been three years in the making and the team have worked tirelessly to overcome the challenges brought on from the pandemic to create a truly special venue. The pergola structure on the rooftop is an achievement and I'm excited for everybody to experience it. The Broadcaster will offer something for both the local community and the London foodie. It is a place for everyone and every occasion.

"We believe The Broadcaster will complement the regeneration of this cultural and creative district of London.”

The team behind Open House also founded Cubitt House, a collection of public houses and rooms in Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Pimlico and Marylebone including The Grazing Goat and The Orange.
