Prominent London fishmonger Fin and Flounder is to launch its own seafood shack at Netil Market in London Fields next month.

Bar Flounder will be open between Thursday and Sunday every week and serve a menu of 'playful', grab and go-style dishes that 'celebrate the very best sustainable British seafood'.

The menu has been partly inspired by chef John Javier’s recent pop-up at Fin and Flounder's flagship site on Broadway Market.

Daily lunch dishes set to feature include prawn burger with chipotle mayonnaise; salmon tartare served with truffle Torres crisps; turbot tenders with buffalo hot sauce; and the Bar Flounder lobster roll.

There will also be a weekend brunch menu that includes a lobster breakfast muffin with fried egg and cheese; crab or vegetable hash browns with avocado and fried egg; and a scallop and bacon butty with tomato relish.

Since it was launched by Brendan O’Sullivan back in 2014 Fin and Flounder has become a staple of Broadway Market, selling fresh seafood bought directly from Cornish day boats to its loyal band of customers.

Over the years it’s also become a trusted wholesale supplier to some of the most lauded restaurants in London including Brat, Rochelle Canteen, The Clove Club, Lyles, Smoking Goat, Bright, and Tacos Padre.

Bar Flounder 'represents the natural next step' for the business. O’Sullivan's daughter Ruby will lead the project, with the space designed by Ab Rogers, son of famed Italian-British architect Richard Rogers.
