The B Corp pasta chain, which operates 12 restaurants across seven Italian cities, will open its doors at The Yards in Covent Garden in November.
Originally launched in Milan, Miscusi's ethos is 'rooted in respecting the planet through the power of food'. Alongside its restaurant portfolio, it runs a regenerative agriculture project just outside of Milan, to help understand and reverse the effects of climate change through biodiversity.
The brand was founded by entrepreneur Alberto Cartasegna, who has previously been named on the Forbes Under 30 list, and Filippo Mottolese in 2017.
All options featured on the menu have been created with a nutritionist, and guests will be able to choose from recommended pasta combinations or create their own personalised dishes.
In addition to pasta, a range of appetizers and desserts will be on offer as well as a selection of wines and flowing water fountains.
“London is where I took my first steps as a kitchen assistant at 18 years old, and as a brand it’s been our dream for a long time to bring the Miscusi experience to the UK," says Cartasegna.
"Italian hospitality is based around being welcoming and generous – and for me this also means creating a space where Londoners from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages can feel comfortable coming together.
"After having served more than one million plates of pasta over the last four years, I’m happy to say that the Italians are coming to London.”
Miscusi's move to London comes after the group secured €20m (£17m) investment from venture capital fund MIP, and the American fund Kitchen Fund.
Once open, the restaurant will be working towards being plastic-free and zero waste, whilst its eat-out delivery packages will be 100% recyclable.
