Lumina Intelligence, CGA and AlixPartners will be delivering exclusive insight at MCA’s Restaurant Conference next month.

Senior insight manager Katie Prowse will be sharing the latest data from Lumina’s Eating & Drinking Out Panel, giving an update on restaurant recovery, with forecasts to 2024, market drivers and inhibitors on the horizon and the latest consumer attitudes, behaviours and intentions.

AlixPartners’ MD, hospitality and leisure, Graeme Smith will be tackling the deals and M&A landscape in the restaurant sector. With the storm clouds of the past 18 months now clearing and optimism returning, he will examine the current shape of the casual dining market and assess how well it is primed for recovery.

Karl Chessell, director for hospitality operators and food, EMEA at CGA, will share insights from its data pool on restaurant market performance and business confidence. Chessell will also explore consumer trends such as omnichannel sales, localisation and technology.

Taking place at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square on Wednesday 3 November, the annual sell-out conference returns for its first live event since 2019, and will see sector leaders coming together to network, share vision and strategy, and digest the current dynamics of the sector through a day of keynote speeches, insight presentation, panel discussions and Q&As.

Also speaking on the day is KFC’s UK & Ireland MD Paula Mackenzie; Five Guys CEO John Eckbert; Corbin & King CEO Jeremy King; Minister Paul Scully and former Waitrose MD and founder of WorkL Lord Mark Price. The agenda also features panel discussions covering the big issues around property, people and culture, sustainability, and more.
