Seed Library will see the high profile cocktail maestro that also goes by Mr Lyan take a ‘lo-fi, analogue approach to bartending’ and create new takes on classic serves.
Chetiyawardana opened his first bar White Lyan in Hoxton in 2013 and has gone onto achieve international critical acclaim, becoming one of the world’s most decorated bartenders (in 2018, his Dandelyan bar at Sea Containers hotel in Southwark was ranked number one by The World’s 50 Best Bars).
Seed Library will join Chetiyawardana's Lyaness bar, which launched at Sea Containers in early 2019 within the space that was once home to Dandelyan.
Chetiyawardana's Cub - a sustainability-focused restaurant and bar in Hoxton run in partnership with Silo chef Douglas McMaster - closed in 2020 as a result of the pandemic.
Seed Library will join several other F&B concepts at the hotel, including sustainability-minded British fish restaurant Goddard & Gibbs, which was revealed yesterday (1 December).
On the former site of Ace Hotel, One Hundred Shoreditch is the latest hotel from the Lore Group, which also operates Sea Containers.
Lore Group says that One Hundred Shoreditch will offer the largest choice of restaurants and bars within one hotel in the area, including three bars, and a coffee shop.
