British food (16%) continues to be the most highly represented cuisine in the top 100 followed by modern European (10%).
Following the pandemic, both categories have lost ground to steak and steakhouses (10%).
The list was not published in 2020 due to the pandemic and - in a break from tradition - is not ranked this year.
63% of the top 100 are located in the capital. The list features some of the UK’s best-known restaurants - including Core by Clare Smyth, Claude Bosi at Bibendum, St John and Hawksmoor - alongside a number of much lesser known establishments.
“We are pleased to once again share a selection of our diner’s favourite restaurants, showcasing the brilliant breadth of dining experiences available across the UK,” says OpenTable VP Robin Chang.
“Reviews are an important part of the OpenTable service, enabling customers to give authentic feedback on their dining experience and helping others to discover great restaurants.”
