Competitive socialising operator Boom: Battle Bar is planning for major expansion around the UK that will see it triple the size of its estate.

The group, which currently operates nine locations across England and Wales, has a pipeline of 19 new openings planned, primarily focused in England but with some sites also set to launch in Scotland.

According to the Boom: Battle Bar website, sites listed as 'coming soon' include Aldgate East in London; Bath; Ealing; Edinburgh; Glasgow; Hull; Leeds; Manchester; Oxford Street, London; Reading; Sheffield; and Watford.

Boom: Battle Bar features a variety of competitive socialising games under one roof including Bavarian axe throwing; 'crazier golf'; shuffleboard; digital darts; and beer pong.

It also offers a menu of street food dishes, alongside a range of cocktails and craft beers.

Boom: Battle Bar's Aldgate East site will open within Berkeley Capital's Goodman’s Fields development.

Located close to the four-screen Curzon cinema within the estate, Boom: Battle Bar has taken 8,000sq ft on a new 15-year lease.

“Boom Battle Bar is leading the way in the UK experiential leisure sector and Goodman’s Fields will be home to its City of London flagship," says Philippe Micheal of GCW, which advised Berkeley Capital with Bruce Gillingham Pollard.

"The brand is pushing the boundaries of competitive socialising and we are confident that this venue will be a big draw for city workers, further complementing the wider leisure offer within the development.”
