Plant-based restaurant group Mildreds has chosen Covent Garden’s St Martin’s Lane for its sixth London site.

Launched in Soho in 1988, Mildreds is a pioneer of the capital’s vegan and plant-based scene.

The new Mildreds restaurant will have an updated look and feel and will officially open on 21 February and follows the launch of the group’s Mallow restaurant in Borough Market last November.

Founded by Jane Muir and Diane Thomas, the currently group operates Mildreds-branded restaurants in Soho, Camden, King’s Cross, Camden and Dalston.

Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch the Covent Garden site will be split across two-floors, serving 120 covers alongside a private dining room which can accommodate up to eight guests.

“We can’t wait to bring Mildreds to the Covent Garden area, with a rising demand for plant-based food across the capital it was time to bring our food to the world-famous theatre district of London,” says managing director Sam Anstey.

“The new site will showcase the first iteration of Mildreds refreshed new branding. Since joining Mildreds in 2020, I have been looking to update the brand’s look & feel, taking on board customer feedback and staying true to the brand’s history since we first opened in 1988.”

The brand’s new look and feel will be rolled out across all other Mildreds sites throughout 2022.
