Restaurateurs Alexis Colletta and Romain Fargette are taking on the former Mews of Mayfair site to open a Japanese-Mexican restaurant.

Called Yuca, the 6,000sq ft venue on Lancashire Court in Mayfair will be split over three floors and will feature a 300-cover restaurant with a club in the basement.

There is no opening date yet for the restaurant, but it is expected to open sometime in the summer.

The new restaurant will be part of the pair’s newly-formed Madness Hospitality business which has just opened its first restaurant in the capital in Mayfair. Called Mano, it is billed as ‘London's first real Brazilian Japanese fusion restaurant’ and launched on Heddon Street with Luciana Berry, winner of Top Chef Brazil 2020 and a MasterChef: The Professionals semi-finalist, as its head chef.

Fargette, who has previously been involved with a number of restaurants, beach clubs and nightclubs on the French Riviera, and entrepreneur Colletta have formed Madness Hospitality with the aim of initially opening two restaurants in the capital – Mano and Yuca - before expanding them globally.

Speaking to BigHospitality, the pair said that they are looking to ‘make Mayfair great again’ and that their venues will blend the restaurant, bar and club environments to create fun fine dining.
