Wagamama has launched a new lunchtime delivery concept called BOX across London and Leeds that's designed for both people who have returned to the office and those working from home.

The lunch boxes, which are available to order via Deliveroo, focus on light dishes such as miso mixed vegetables; aromatic chicken; chicken katsu; teriyaki pulled duck; and yasai katsu.

A range of side boxes and soft drinks is also available.

Customers will also be able to upgrade their boxes to ‘boost’, ‘hot’ or ‘hot boost’ formats, which feature double portions of protein and veg and the addition of hot katsu sauce.

Following a successful trial period, BOX will now be available from London delivery kitchens in Bow, Balham, Forest Hill, Hackney, Old Street, Peckham, Sutton and Walthamstow; as well as in Leeds.

Wagamama is also looking to target its BOX concept at catering opportunities or large corporate orders.

“The insight was clear and we delivered. Guests are searching for a Wagamama-inspired lunch, that’s light, healthy and delivered quickly, whether you’re working from home or in the office,” says Max Simons-Dukes, senior brand manager at Wagamama.

“We’re on a mission to disrupt the lunch category, whilst leveraging the credentials of our well-loved Wagamama brand.

“The expansion of BOX throughout London and now into Leeds is a clear testament to its success and we’re incredibly excited for what’s to come in the future.”
