Corbin & King investor Minor International is preparing two further legal cases involving restaurateur Jeremy King, in the latest development in the battle for control over the London-based restaurant group.

Sky News reports that Thai-based hotel operator Minor is understood to be preparing legal proceedings against Knighthead Capital Management, which has just taken over the Corbin & King’s debt.

Minor International is said to have hired law firm Linklaters, to sue the US fund for allegedly inducing Corbin & King’s co-founder Jeremy King to breach his shareholder agreement.

Minor is also understood to be working with another law firm Mishcon de Reya on a separate claim against King personally.

The latest develop comes after Knighthead repaid about £38m in debt owed to Minor by C&K subsidiaries.

Minor forced Corbin & King's holding company into administration in January, accusing King of mismanaging the business and of refusing to place the business on a more sustainable financial footing.

The accusations were rejected by King, who has held long-standing talks with Knighthead about taking control of the company.

Corbin & King operate several restaurants in London including The Wolseley, Brasserie Zédel and The Delaunay.

They also have a single site outside of the capital, Café Wolseley, in Bicester Village.
