Young’s reopens The Spread Eagle as its head office returns to Wandsworth

The Grade II listed pub, which is located on Wandsworth High Street, has been totally renovated to showcase its traditional Victorian features, which include etched glass, reclaimed wooden floorboards, brass fittings, vintage leather furnishings and open fireplaces.
Twenty one boutique bedrooms have also been added as part of the renovation.
The pub, which is run by pub landlord Connal Donovan, serves a menus focusing on seasonal British produce created by head chef David Waller,
The move also marks the return of Young’s head office to its historical Wandsworth home, where the brewery was established in 1831. Previously based on the outskirts of the town, Young’s head office is moving back to the centre with a new office space, training and development kitchen directly behind the pub.
 
“Wandsworth is very much Young’s hometown and we are delighted to be back establishing our head office in the heart of town,” says Patrick Dardis, Young & Co chief executive, “On the doorstep to the old brewery, The Spread Eagle has undergone a huge transformation and we are looking forward to welcoming locals back into this landmark Victorian pub.”
