A high-end Chinese restaurant, the welcome reboot of a West End food hall, a veg-focused barbecue venue, and a revolving chef concept make up some of this month's most interesting new restaurant launches.

Tattu

Outernet’s The Now Building is the plush location for Chinese restaurant group Tattu’s debut London restaurant. The impressive 220-cover venue is an atmospheric affair that takes inspiration from traditional Chinese courtyard houses blending dark woods with dark and light marble tops and ornate banquette seating. The menu is tighter than at other high-end Chinese restaurants, with a nine-strong selection of dim sum, including wagyu ribeye dumpling with kmchi and spring onion; and Iberico pulled pork wor tip with slaw, chilli oil and five-spice black vinegar; and small plates such as seven spice seared tuna; black cod croquettes; and XO scallops with salmon caviar, wasabi pea, and daikon. Large plates also focus on meat and fish, such as char siu honey glazed monkfish; lemon salt and black pepper lamb cutlets; and caramel soy aged beef fillet.

A restaurant that will feature the cooking of chefs including Lee Westcott, Anna Hansen, Josh Eggleton and Gareth Ward (although not all at once) opens within Broadgate’s 100 Liverpool Street building this month. Called Revolve, it will host a rotating guest chef programme where each month a chef will introduce four ‘unique’ dishes to the main brasserie menu, alongside creating one-off lunches, dinners and private dining experiences. The rest of the menu will take its cues from the brasseries of Paris and New York offering classic dishes with ‘British provenance at their heart’.
