Ghetto Golf, Golf Fang and Birdies Bar owner Big Fang Collective has received a £5m investment from Imbiba to fund its expansion.

The Liverpool-based entertainment business is looking to acquire new venues in cities across the UK, with seven new venues already planned over the next two years.

Its next venue will be a 38,000sq ft multi-concept venue in Sheffield. Golf Fang will open in phase one, followed by a Birdies Bar and the group’s first food hall.

Big Fang Collective was founded in 2016, with the creation of crazy golf brand Ghetto Golf, following the renovation of the 25,000sq ft Cains Brewery in Liverpool. The business currently operates its three brands across its sites in Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Glasgow.

“We are extremely excited to be investing in Big Fang Collective, they are a market leader delivering unforgettable experiences across their entertainment hubs,” says Andrew Stones, partner at Imbiba.

“Their creative approach, operational excellence and ambition mean there’s so much more to see from Big Fang Collective and we’re proud to be facilitating this growth.”

Kip Piper and Daniel Bolger, founders of Big Fang Collective, say the investment from Imbiba will give each of the creatives it works with even more space for expression and allow it to recruit talent in cities across the UK.

The cash injection will also help the group expand into overseas markets, it says.
