Pour-your-own wine bar group Vagabond is set to launch its first airport site this week at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 as part of a £1.2m investment.

Located airside, Vagabond Bar and Kitchen will have space for 170 covers across a 4,500 sq ft site and feature more than 100 varieties of wine, a self-pour craft beer wall, and the brand’s signature wine dispensers.

“This is a really exciting step into the airport environment for Vagabond and the Heathrow site will expose millions of guests to the Vagabond concept per year,” says Matt Fleming, managing director at Vagabond.

Open seven days a week from 5:30am – 10:30pm, Vagabond's Heathrow site will be the first to offer dedicated breakfast, lunch and dinner menus as well as bar snacks, cocktails and a children’s menu.

Options will include all day brunch; grill dishes; and sharing boards of meats and cheeses.

Vagabond’s Heathrow site will become the eleventh in the group, with nine venues already trading across London and a recent opening in Birmingham.

Fleming describes the latest opening as being a fantastic foothold for potential future international expansion for the group.

“We have ambitious growth plans to open further sites across the country and this new venue is also a fantastic foothold for potential future international expansion,” he says.

“We can’t wait to introduce the Vagabond way to people from around the world, giving them the perfect start to their journey.”
