Entertainment and leisure brand Gravity will open a second venue in London this year, at Westfield Stratford City.

The brand, which opened in Wandsworth in 2021, will open in a 60,000sq ft venue next year following a £10m investment that will include the creation of a new e-karting concept not seen anywhere else in the world.

Operated by Gravity Active Entertainment, the new venue will house a number of other competitive socialising concepts including urban street golf, AR darts, a high rope course, arcade games such as Electric Gamebox and Hologate, an immersive free-roaming VR experience.

There will also be three bars and multiple street food vendors.

“We are really excited to be opening Gravity at such an iconic location in London, and with the first ever super track of e-karting,” says Harvey Jenkinson, co-founder and CEO at Gravity.

“There is no doubt that consumer demands have changed and in order to stay relevant, shopping centres and the high street have to diversify and offer a top-quality leisure experience. Westfield Stratford City with its rich leisure and experience offer is the perfect location and we are delighted at the interest we have secured as we sign with a third landlord, and look forward to growing further over the year.”

The Stratford venue will be Gravity’s third opening adding to its Gravity Southside in Wandsworth and a site in Liverpool One, which is set to open in autumn of 2022. Alongside this, the company also continues to grow its 18-strong portfolio of trampoline parks with Birmingham Star City having just opened and more in the pipeline.

The company is one of a number continuing to grow their presence in the competitive socialising space. Next month will see the opening of two venues in the capital – darts-focused concept Oche and golf-based Birdies - with another  golf-focused concept, Golf Fang, opening in Leeds in the Autumn.
